Match the markup to the page
An article can describe its headline, summary, author, publication date, and main page URL. Use values that visitors can also find on the page.
Structured data does not guarantee a special search result. It gives search engines a clearer description to evaluate.
Use stable, absolute URLs
Provide canonical page URLs and fully qualified image URLs in JSON-LD. Make sure each image loads publicly and represents the article.
Keep the publisher and author details consistent with the rest of the site.
Validate changes
Check the rendered JSON-LD for syntax and required fields after building. Test representative pages and update their dates when the content actually changes.
Do not add ratings, reviews, or other facts that are not visible and supported by the page.
